Consider specific assignments, specific readings/films, specific conversations, and/or specific processes that helped you learn and grow. This is a reflection on how we start out most of our classes. I enjoy that you ask us "how's your day going" or how's your weekend " it does get people in the class to wake up a little more but i think they start to pay attention because they are nosy. Sometimes you would even at questions they pertain to real life issues and find a way to connect it to the story we are reading during that week. one time in class we were talking about the prisons and solitary confinement and we found a to connect it to "yellow wallpaper" and how the wife was basically left in solitary confinement with how she was left in a small room one window that alone was enough to see the comparing the two we didn't even mention how she had lack of control of what she can do, what she eats ,

"A Good Man Is Hard to Find" 10/12/2017 during this week I found the story very interesting in the terms of how many questions the story left like the grandma and the misfit had some type of vendetta in the short time they spent to each other, the misfit was mention in a newspaper but his name was never revealed along with the grandma that bought out my curiosity with the story to keep me entertained while reading. My favorite thing that we had to do as a class is take the words from a specific time frame was turn it into poem. I personally like it because it because i'm a poet who like play on words; So when we had to get creative I enjoyed the task even tho at first I was annoyed cause I would have rather wrote about the story with my own methods but I didn't get bored with the assignment but I cant say the same for other students. I did like reading some of the other student poems created from this blog post. I can say for myself that this assignment helped me learn with things that I do outside of class with my poetry I learned to be able to take things I see on TV, walking down the street, at school and so much more and put it into my rhythm schemes, word play, and story telling .

In the documentary Where to Invade Next, Michael Moore is a military man who is retired and travels to different countries in search of ideas that could help improve america as an entirety. He went to places like in europe like Italy, Germany, and Slovenia and I believe those three places, international students can go there to a school in Slovenia and be taught in english, with the only requirement for free tuition is to be a full time student so part timers have to pay; he spoke with the teachers and principles of some schools and learned that their country put most of their money into education and the people and that they believe the education is better from having diversity in their universities. at some point in the movie he goes to a public school in one of the poorest neighborhoods an he was amazed by the foods they serve in the cafeteria the meals would come in a restaurant style first appetizers then meal followed off with a dessert and the quality of the food was way better than the foods served in cafeterias in the United States, he was disappointed by the lack of vending machines in the public school so he brought in a soda with him and ask the kids sitting at his table if any wanted a sip and also showed them how american public school lunches look and the kids showed a disgusted look on their faces and made remarks on how unhealthy it looks.
He had a conversation with with a couple and learned from a couple and some factory owners that some places make it mandatory to have at least 8 weeks of paid vacation and the people are giving a thirteenth month by the term thirteenth month they mean they get on month with two pay checks in one of the month. In the movie it was also mention how the workers work better when they are create better; When he landed in Portugal he sat down with two police officers and they had a conversation on drugs and Michael Moore seem amazed by the cops saying by not arresting people with drugs because they made all drugs legal lower crime involving drugs, he went on and made jokes about him having drugs on him.when he got to Norway he had visited a maximum security prison that if compared to a prison in the united states was like assaying in a luxury hotel the prison had a nice looking library, a recording studio, prisoners had the keys to their own cell and plus some more; the security doesn't carry weapons like guns or any other type of weapons the guards use their words to keep inmate under control. Moore had to a guy about his son death at a mass shooting on an island at the camp his son was attending at that moment he learned that Norway doesn't have the death penalty and went on to ask this man if he had the chance could he kill him the responded no to that and if he wanted the shooter dead the man said he only wanted the shooter to have a fair trial and that was it, the went on to stay that he didn't want to step down and say I have the same right you thought you had to kill because I don't have that right. Michael Moore ended the video by saying the american dream is alive everywhere except for america. 7) Writing About Our Course Stories [Categories: Life Choice, Course Reading, Re-Genre]: Please complete the following:
